The Position
We are seeking a VP, Antibody Drug Discovery who will lead the companys discovery & preclinical Biologics
research effort. The role encompasses scientific and drug discovery strategy, as well as people management and
leadership. The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary matrix environment, and an entrepreneurial
mindset, will be critical to success. The role will interface directly with SciNeuros executive management team
and will require effective teamwork and communication at all levels within the company, as well as representing a
key interface with SciNeuros external discovery collaborators.

Title: VP, Antibody Drug Discovery
Location: Rockville, Maryland, USA
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic input to executive management; lead SciNeuros large molecule research program/project(s), and
support overall R&D strategy by advancing projects in the current pipeline, as well as building the companys future
portfolio for CNS diseases.
Lead large molecule drug discovery programs from hit identification through Development Candidate selection and
validation, encompassing preclinical and clinical stage programs, including support for IND/BLA/NDA submissions.
Build R&D capabilities and bring in cutting-edge technologies to deliver first-in-class or best-in-class large molecule
assets.
Recruit, retain, and develop scientists and build teams to advance biological therapeutics research and development
programs.
Provide scientific leadership to the SciNeuro Biologics team, as well as external collaborators and research partners, for
example relating to experimental design; the implementation and execution of in vitro biological assays (biophysical,
biochemical, and cell-based); and in vivo testing in support of SciNeuros drug discovery programs.
Responsible for data review, analysis, and interpretation of in vitro and in vivo results, and troubleshooting issues
related to drug discovery projects.
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and costs, and provide reports to executive management.
Core Qualifications and Experience
Ph.D. in biochemistry, cell biology, pharmacology, or a related field
8 years of relevant pharma/biotech experience (including postdoctoral, and fellowship training experience)
A broad and in-depth understanding of drug discovery and early-stage development is required
Experience in leading large molecule e.g. antibody drug discovery programs
Experience in identifying high-value therapeutic targets in multiple disease areas, based on the evaluation of biological
rationale, tractability, and the competitive landscape
Strong expertise in establishing in vitro biochemical/biophysical and cell-based assays and identifying translational
disease models
Ability to recruit, lead, manage, and motivate scientists (associate and PhD level) as a high performing team with deep
biologics expertise, as well as to work effectively across SciNeuros cross-functional R&D matrix.
Strong leadership and excellent management skills to oversee multiple projects for rapid progress, and timely
communication with upper management and relevant parties
A self-starter and team player who has resilience, and comfort with complexity and ambiguity
Excellent influencing and communication skills (oral and written)
Desired Additional Experience
CNS-related training or research experience
Extensive experience in a biotech start-up environment, including working with external partners.
Proven record for delivery of antibody programs from discovery to IND.
Experience/authorship of regulatory documentation & submissions
