Performs moderately complex (journey-level) consultative services and technical assistance work. Work involves planning, developing, and implementing an agency program and providing consultative services and technical assistance to child care providers, program staff, government agencies, community organizations, or the general public. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This is a grant-funded position that will end in September 2025.

Role and Responsibilities

Depending on organizational needs, may:

  • Performs an array of technical training, research, planning, policy, program assessment, and administrative activities related to project assignment.
  • Provides support and collaborates in the planning, development, implementation, analysis, and documentation of an agency program.
  • Serves as a liaison to staff, government agencies, community organizations, or the general public to assist in explaining program specifics and requirements
  • Markets program(s) to community and professional groups to encourage and/or improve interest in the project(s).
  • Monitors and reviews compliance with requirements, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures for assigned project.
  • Assists in providing consultative services and technical assistance for agency projects
  • Assists with the preparation of administrative reports, studies, and specialized projects.
  • May assist in preparing and evaluating program budget requests.
  • Assists with the review of program area operations to identify areas in need of change and assists with the development of plans to improve or address areas of concern.
  • Create engaging training materials and host customized learning workshops to empower businesses with tech skills.
  • Expand our child care provider base through seamless collaboration and maximize project impact.
  • Tackle project management tasks as needed, including timeline creation and stakeholder coordination.
  • Share success stories from businesses completing the Borderplex Business Support Project, promoting it regionally and nationally.
  • This role involves regular travel to local businesses and the Workforce Solutions Borderplex office.
  • Be available when local businesses need you, even outside standard Workforce Solution Borderplex hours.

Experience and Education RequirementsA Bachelor's degree in humanities, business administration, public administration, education, or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of the degree. Two or more years of experience in a public-facing role is preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

and to provide guidance to others.

  • Advanced skills in the use of HP and DELL computers, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft products.

Additional Notes

Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet requirements to be included as an authorized driver on the Workforce Solutions Borderplex Commercial Package Policy as stipulated by the insurance carrier. Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks.
