Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder with a strong background in MIG, Flux Core, and Arc welding to join our team for an exciting 12-week contract, with the potential for an extension. This role will involve working on a variety of fabrication projects in a busy workshop environment, welding to coded standards and ensuring the highest quality of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Welding : Perform MIG, Flux Core, and Arc welding on a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium, to coded specifications.
- Coded Welding : Carry out welding to the required standards, ensuring all welds are to a certified coded level (with the ability to provide proof of certification if required).
- Interpretation of Drawings : Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures to determine material requirements and work specifications.
- Fabrication : Cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand tools, machinery, and welding equipment to meet project specifications.
- Quality Control : Inspect work for defects and ensure the final welds meet quality standards, ensuring a high-quality finish in all welding and fabrication tasks.
- Health & Safety : Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety procedures and company policies, including the use of PPE and safe handling of materials and equipment.
- Collaboration : Work as part of a team, communicating effectively with other welders, fabricators, and supervisors to meet deadlines and ensure project success.
