We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer to lead the optimization, administration, and ongoing development of our cloud-based Microsoft 365 environment. This role will be responsible for configuring, securing, automating, and integrating M365 services to enhance productivity, collaboration, and security across the organization.
This position requires hands-on, recent experience (3 years) in an M365 Engineer role to ensure the solutions implemented align with current best practices and modern cloud capabilities. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in optimizing and managing enterprise M365 environments.

Key Responsibilities
- M365 Optimization & Administration
- Evaluate, configure, and optimize Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Entra ID, etc.).
- Manage security and compliance settings, including data loss prevention (DLP), conditional access, and retention policies.
- Improve governance, automation, and reporting within M365.
- Cloud Security & Identity Management
- Enhance Entra ID (Azure AD) identity management and role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Optimize authentication methods, including MFA, SSO, and conditional access policies.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and company policies.
- Automation & Integration
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate M365 management tasks.
- Leverage Power Automate and other tools to improve workflows.
- Integrate M365 with third-party SaaS applications and internal business systems.
- Collaboration & Adoption
- Enhance the use of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive to drive collaboration.
- Assist with change management and user training on new M365 features and policies.
- Troubleshooting & Support
- Act as a Tier 3 escalation for complex M365-related issues.
- Proactively monitor and optimize M365 services for performance and reliability.
- Work closely with IT leadership to align M365 solutions with company goals.
- 3 years of RECENT hands-on experience as an M365 Engineer, Cloud Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, security, and optimization in a cloud-first environment.
- Experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for M365 automation.
- Experience with security best practices, compliance policies, and governance within M365.
- Familiarity with Power Automate, Microsoft Graph API, and cloud integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage escalated M365 support cases.
- Microsoft Certifications such as MS-102 (M365 Administrator) or SC-300 (Identity & Access Administrator).
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Purview compliance solutions, and Sentinel.
- Knowledge of hybrid environments, though we are fully cloud-based.
