Principle Responsibilities
Performs dimensional verification inspections to blueprint requirements. Compile job close out documents such as acceptance data pack information and other items associated with job close out. Must have ability to interpret submittal register based on job site specifications. Capable of building and maintaining complete inspection and test plans while maintaining accurate records. Evaluate inspection data and prepare reports describing test results. Operate and coordinate calibration of a wide range of mechanical measuring and test equipment.
Standard Duties
Prepare inspection plans from drawings and specifications
Maintain quality standards, inspection, test, recording and reporting methods
Perform visual, physical and dimensional inspections, sampling, and testing of subassemblies and large completed units with very complicated, exacting tolerances for extremely precise workmanship, alignment, operating performance and mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, or electrical requirements, using all types of precision measuring tools and equipment
Prepare and issue quality certifications
Monitor compliance with established quality standards
Deliver a quality project to the client
Contribute to the project profitability by reducing the amount of rework
Job Requirements
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance
Must have knowledge of various welding processes, including Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), and Submerged Arc Welding (SAW).
Ability to discern between different material forms, alloys, and grades
Having a certificate in pipe welding, welding, and metal fabrication is beneficial, but not required
CWI Certification is preferred but not required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, manuals, and/or work instructions
Perform basic mathematical skills (I.E subtraction, addition, multiplication, and division)
Perform simple conversations (I.E millimeters to inches, kilograms to pounds, fractions to decimals, etc.)
Good oral and written communication skills. Good organizational and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
Bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds
Must be able to physically position oneself on large parts and confined spaces
Ability of reading J1 letters for near vision and 20/30 far vision with or without corrective lenses
Equipment to be Used
Computer, various electrical and mechanical test equipment.
Pay Range
$30.00-$45.00/hourly
