Human Resources Assistant
- Location: Johnstown, PA - Travel to Ebensburg about 2 days a week
- Pay Rate: $22 per hour
- Schedule: Day Shift: Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5pm

What will you be doing?
Responsible for performing administrative tasks in support of effective and efficient operations of the Human Resources Department. Must enjoy task-oriented work and implementation of processes. High level of organizational skills in order to accurately complete work under deadlines.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources department.
- Works as a liaison between company and temporary employment agencies.
- Record and compile temporary employees’ request for time off.
- Participate in new hire orientation. Ensures processing of all new hire paperwork.
- Assists in performing routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, and leave.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors, and management referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects business data by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Processing temporary employees’ swipe cards, timesheets and leave requests.
- Notify shift managers of temporary employee call-offs.
- Other duties as directed by the HR Director, HR Generalist, and/or President.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions within the organization.
- Additionally, the Human Resources Assistant will attend social/recreation events as required to provide supervision and assistance to handicapped individuals and any other duties as required by the HR Director, HR Generalist, and/or President.
- Perform other job duties and responsibilities as directed.
What are the Job Requirements?
- Associates degree preferred. 1-3 years of related experience required; or combination of education & experience.
- A minimum of 1 - 2 years of HR experience.
- SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus.
- Drug Test
- Criminal Background Check
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- FBI Fingerprints?
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Auto Insurance
