Tier 1 Support Technician (Non-Remote)
- Location: Johnstown, PA
- Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday – 9:30am to 6pm (This is not a remote position)

What will you be doing? The Tier 1 Technician position is responsible for first level support for inbound calls into the call center, Tickets submitted into support and all other forms of initial contact from Customers and Agents.
- Proactive network management of multiple systems including API testing, and logging system checks for specified customer networks on a recurring basis.
- Interacts with Customers and Agents via any communication method available, including; Phone, Email, and Ticketing in a timely, professional, and ethical manner.
- Technical problem emulation with the ability to research, analyze, and provide recommended solutions for a customized response when needed.
- Resolves Customers and Agent product or service issues by quickly understanding the problem, determining the cause of the issue, troubleshooting, escalating the issue if needed, and following up to ensure the solution was successful.
- Knowledgeable of products and services and ability to explain products and services.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise for customers that require a full understanding of their products and services.
- Maintains customer account history, activity, and interactions via the Customer Dashboard using Notes and Customer Management functions.
- Listens to Customer and Agent suggestions and provides feedback to the team and management for improved Customer and Agent experiences.
- Attend departmental and company meetings as scheduled.
- Communicates and coordinates effectively with management and team members, as well as contribute solutions and team knowledge group calls.
- Availability for on-call after-hours support when needed.
- Ability to work remotely (Internet, Computer, Phone) in situations of state of emergency where local offices cannot open.
- Provide Peer-To-Peer Training and Development.
- Ready to learn and be trained on new technology to develop career skills.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
What are the Job Requirements?
- 2 or 4-year degree or a year of experience in a similar position within education or a technology-related industry
- Background in an educational setting is strongly preferred
- Technical support: 2 years (Preferred)
- Call Center: 1 to 2 years (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience and a passion for customer support.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary.
