What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Technician position at Workshop/APD?
Technical Responsibilities
- Maintain and support day-to-day IT issues for all users, including hardware and software support.
- Consult with IT Management and IT Consultants to maintain and improve the firm's onsite infrastructure, including workstations, servers, and networks.
- Provide ongoing technical support and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor and report on system performance metrics.
- Maintain, track, and update computer software and hardware as required.
- Training end-users on hardware functionality, connectivity, and A/E software programs.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain IT inventory spreadsheets of all equipment, leases, and users.
- Maintain IT Budget and projections for the office
- Maintain and assess system security.
- Maintain knowledge of industry advancements and IT, Architecture, and Design trends.
Experience Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar.
- 2-5 years of experience in IT Support, working with workstations, network-attached devices, and servers (Primarily Windows, Mac, Firewalls, and Printers), ideally in the design and/or engineering industry.
- Great communication skills.
Technical Requirements
- General knowledge of all networking protocols and standard practices.
- Advanced knowledge of MS365 Suite of products, including administration and troubleshooting
- Experience with Windows Azure AD environments is required.
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, V-Ray, and Solidworks software is a huge plus
- Experience with Cisco Meraki firewall and switch management a plus.
- Experience working with Ninja RMM is a plus.
- Experience with Helpdesk is a plus.
