Extrusion Operator

WorkSource is now accepting applications for Extrustion Operators. Regular schedule is a 2-2-3 rotation working from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.

This is NOT a temp to hire position it is a direct hire position.

This position sets up and operates printing, slitting, rewinding and bag converting machines. Qualifications are below:

• Performs set up of press, slitting and bag converting equipment and makes necessary equipment adjustments to ensure quality and maximize production outputs Reviews specs, work order, print master and production samples

• Performs quality checks at set up and specified intervals during the production run then notes results on the Quality Check Report and provided required samples

• Completes required production run reporting such as but not limited to: Production Reports, Job Order, Quality Check Report, Pallet Labels, WIP or Raw Material Usage to include but not limited to calculation of production pounds or impressions and run times, Skid Tags. Assist in monitoring and reporting equipment conditions, working conditions and operating methods for safety and maintenance needs

. * Performs roll changes and palletize finished product Perform general preventative maintenance and completes associated reports * Assist in maintaining clean workspace, equipment and tools May assist in training new operators

• Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner Must be able to work up to 12-hour shifts * Performs other duties as assigned Must be able to read, type, speak and understand English Cannot be color blind Required to effectively understand and communicate Hazmat requirements, read labels, identify hazardous materials, determine the scope of a Hazmat incident, execute and implement the Emergency Response Contingency Plan and follow safety and environmental rules and procedures and be willing to enforce with fellow employees.
