SUMMARY:

-An opportunity to join our team as an Employment Specialist, where you will recruit job seekers, provide career coaching, and build relationships with community partners. You will assess participants' skills and interests, address employment barriers, and match them with job opportunities. This full-time role involves documentation, reporting, and collaboration with staff and stakeholders.

EMPLOYER'S REQUIREMENTS:

-You must pass a background check and drug screening test.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Associate's degree.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.

EMPLOYER'S PREFERENCES:

-Bilingual communication skills, including interpreting or translating.

DUTIES:

- Actively recruit and enroll job seekers in the program.
- Build trusting relationships with participants and assess their education, work experience, and skills.
- Identify employment barriers and provide job leads and skill training information.
- Match participants with suitable job opportunities.
- Maintain frequent communication with participants and referral sources.
- Coach participants in interview skills and job presentations.
- Accurately document all activities in the database and submit required reports.
- Nominate participants for "Graduate of the Quarter" and complete annual training.
- Provide exceptional customer service.

HOURS:

- Full-time (40 hours per week).
- 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

PAY:

- $24.00 per hour.

EMPLOYER'S COMMENTS:

-This role is office-based, with occasional travel within the service area. Employment Specialists may be transferred to other locations as needed. The work environment can be fast-paced with occasional short deadlines.
