Local Government agency is seeking qualified applicants to fill a Community Engagement Coordinator position
This full-time, non-exempt position will work under the general supervision of the City Manager or their designee. The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing strategies to actively involve residents, businesses, and community organizations in local government decisions and initiatives by facilitating communication channels, organizing public meetings, conducting outreach programs, and gathering feedback to inform policymaking, all while building strong relationships with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 yrs experience in Outreach, Community Engagement and / or Communications OR Bachelor Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
- Knowledgeable in Social Media platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Oregon Driver's License and access to personal vehicle to travel to meetings (mileage reimbursed)
Preferred (Not Required):
- Graphic Design knowledge / Experience
- Public Service Announcement experience for videos
Job Duties:

Hours, Wages and Benefits:
- Salary range is $53,003 to $69,157 per year; starting salary is dependent on qualifications and experience
- Typical Monday-Friday 8-5 but needs to be flexible to attend community events as needed
