Lawn and tree spray technicians are ground maintenance specialists who keep lawn, trees & flowerbeds healthy by eliminating unwanted insects, funguses, and vegetation. This includes treating trees, shrubs, flowerbeds and lawns with herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides. Technicians will apply various pesticides, weed killers and insecticides to the area needed to be treated. You are dispatched from the main office each day and use company work trucks to move from job to job.
Minimum Requirement
- Eighteen (18) years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) year experience as a spray technician
- Have Pesticide Applicator License before first day of employment
- Valid drivers license to drive to various worksites using company vehicles

- Operate light to heavy vehicles, tools and equipment in the application of various herbicides
- Safely apply chemical and fertilizing applications when needed and always within compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (such as EPA, Department of Agriculture, and Department of Environmental Regulation) and safety procedures
- Walk and be on your feet most of the day and work in all weather conditions
- Move and maneuver up to 50 pounds of supplies, chemicals, tools and equipment
- Other duties, responsibilities and /or task as assigned
Pay / Benefits:
- $19 to $30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications / negotiable
- Medical, Aflac, holiday pay, paid time off, and 401k after 60 days
Hours:
- Monday through Friday starting from 7 or 8 am; working 8 plus hours a day; occasional Saturday's
