What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contact Center Specialist position at Workway?

Currently, we have a Contact Center Specialist opportunity with a Healthcare company committed to transforming healthcare. This position will be onsite for the first two weeks and then transition to remote work. The Contact Center Specialist is responsible for the following specific duties.
Your specific duties will include :
- Answering incoming calls and electronic requests from patients and family members to register new patients, schedule healthcare appointments, answer questions, handle complaints, troubleshoot problems
- Ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely registration of new patients to provide optimal service and facilitate financial reimbursement.
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies or missing information and accurately entering data into the electronic medical record system.
- Verifying insurance coverage, determining patient self-pay responsibility, and providing cost information.
- Scheduling an appointment with a financial counselor for the patient or a family member, if appropriate.
- Scheduling healthcare appointments based on need, patient requests, and system and clinic guidelines.
- Communicating appointment details, any required preparation for testing, necessary paperwork, and payment information to facilitate on-time arrival, appointment preparedness, and optimal reimbursement.
Specific qualifications for the position include :
Pay Rate Range : $17.50 per hour.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
