Transmission Technician – Planet Ford Dallas

Income Potential

• $100K per year based on experience and productivity
  
  

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild automatic and manual transmissions
• Perform transmission removals, installations, and overhauls efficiently
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot transmission-related issues
• Conduct system tests to verify repairs and ensure optimal performance
• Follow factory-recommended repair procedures and guidelines
• Inspect and replace worn or damaged transmission components
• Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs and services performed
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Stay up to date with Ford transmission technologies and service bulletins
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of transmission repair experience (Ford experience preferred)
• ASE or manufacturer certifications highly desirable
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
