Job Purpose :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Distributor Account Sales Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing inventory coordination with buyers at key distributor accounts UNFI & KEHE, ensuring optimal product availability and distribution efficiency. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working for UNFI or kEHE as a buyer or category manager, providing a deep understanding of distributor relationships, inventory planning, and coordination. This is a critical role for someone with a strong analytical background and expertise in working with brokers and managing product supply chains.
Job Duties :
Multi level relationship management and point of contact at UNFI and KeHE :
Category Managers & Merchandising teams
Supply Chain team, Buyers, Supplier manager,
Key Account teams & National, Regional Sales teams
Item management at UNFI & KeHE :
New Item setup & planning,
Discontinuations, Assortment planning, Pack Changes.
Dockets prep for each of this,
tracking inventory just in time for new programs and launches.
Owner of Distributor Promotional Planner & Marketing Calendar :
Development & approval with WFF Marketing,
Negotiation with Unfi and KeHE,
Log changes & updating.
Internal WFF hand-holding on distributor processes for Marketing and Sales
Inventory Monitoring at Distributor (UNFI & KeHE)
Review during scheduled distributor weekly and monthly meetings
Manage UNFI and KeHE reporting on underperforming, disco and short shelf / aged life items, and coordinate communication and action as needed.
Manage container traffic communication, corrective action including gap fill orders
Annual Bookings with KeHE & Unfi of Artichoke, Waterchestnut and Oysters.
Assist Financial Operations in fees, deductions and financial negotiations.
Review and Respond to deduction queries,
negotiate with UNFI & KeHE key stakeholders, and bring in WFF team as needed.
Owner of Distributor Show Management (6 National shows)
On Site and Show Deal planning (internally and externally),
Show Sample orders and Material orders.
Manage UNFI Conventional SuperValu. Manage SuperValu promo contracts, offers, communicating with Sales.
Reviewing category review data with CMs
Mine distributor sales data to extract performance analysis and report findings on New items, Marketing Program investments.
Owner of process for Brand Transitions at Unfi and KeHE. Compile and detailed hand holding of Marketing, Sales and Unfi / KeHE through the process.
Price List Change & Supply Chain changes
Reports to : Director of Sales Operations
Skills required : Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Experience : Bachelor’s Degree and / or a minimum of 5 years sales experience preferred
