Job Summary
Immediate need of a RN for catheter care, ostomy and wound care Start of care Monday Feb 3 in El Paso, AR 72045
Salary: $120 Per Visit
Days Required: Monday/Thursday
Length of Need: 2-6 months The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients with various types of wounds, ensuring optimal healing and recovery. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care, infection control, and critical care practices. The Wound Care Nurse will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Duties
- Assess and evaluate patients' wounds, documenting findings accurately.
- Develop and implement comprehensive wound care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Administer wound treatments, including dressing changes and infection control measures.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patients for any signs of complications or deterioration.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding wound care management and prevention strategies.
- Perform specimen collection processing as needed for laboratory analysis.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Assist in IV insertion when necessary for medication administration or fluid therapy.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in wound care techniques and technologies.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in patient care, particularly in wound management or related fields.
- Knowledge of occupational health practices and critical care protocols.
- Familiarity with esthetic laser treatment is a plus.
- Strong skills in infection control and prevention methods.
- Ability to assess aliment conditions that may affect wound healing.
- Experience in senior care settings is preferred.
- Proficient in performing vital signs assessments and interpreting results.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient education.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating strong organizational skills.
