What are the responsibilities and job description for the Albrecht Fellowship for College Students position at World Trade Center Institute?
Greetings Educators & Students!
Applications are now open for the World Trade Center Institute’s prestigious Albrecht Fellowship for college students. Created by visionary founder and former McCormick & Co. executive Jim Albrecht, this program aims to expose globally minded college students to the work of and opportunities at international business companies and organizations with global missions in the mid-Atlantic region. We are seeking your help to identify students who are goal-oriented, driven, professional, open-minded and have a passion for global work, and ask that you share this opportunity with them! Our priority consideration deadline is April 20, 2025 and the standard application deadline is June 1. 2025. Applicants applying for priority consideration will qualify for an exclusive scholarship consideration.
The Albrecht Fellowship Program is designed to prepare Maryland college students for the competitive job market upon graduating. By leveraging our vast regional network, 30 top students from various universities around the region will have the opportunity to visit several different global companies and meet with top leaders and executives, jumpstarting their professional network. Albrecht Fellows will also be invited to attend select WTCI events.
The fellowship takes place August 12-21, 2025. Students get an inside look at how different organizations work and make the professional connections needed to stand out in the competitive job market. The program is highly interactive, giving the students an “outside the classroom, inside business” experience – learning about companies’ business strategies and cultures, and gaining inside tips and skills from top employers.
