Job Summary
The IRONMAN Group is looking for a creative and analytical, left and right brain thinking, dual threat to join our Global Partnerships team, helping to bring to life our business development process and materials through graphic design, research, and producing materials.
Reporting to the VP, Business Intelligence, Strategy & Analytics, and supervised by the Sr. Manager, Partnership Programs, the Commercial Designer is responsible for supporting the business development initiatives of the organization, prioritizing Host City Partnership Development and Global Partnership Sales, through the creation and provision of tools, presentations, and resources to support sales efforts.
That support includes:
- Designing and producing sales and partnership services decks (presentations), templates, informational event materials, and more.
- Assisting with the development, educating, and maintaining of team processes for accessing and utilizing business development tools and resources. Current tools/resources include: Bylder (a web based dynamic presentation software), Planner (Project Management Tool), and various data sourcing platforms.
- Fulfilling requests for materials and resources made by Event and Partnership Business Development teams
- Internally sourcing, gathering, organizing, and verifying data to develop sponsor programs and sales materials that articulate a quantitative and qualitative narrative about how we will deliver on client KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
1 – Development and graphic design of brand-consistent business development resources
- Collaborate with the Sr. Manager, Partnership Programs and Global Partnerships Department leadership team to plan and design templates for event and partnership sales presentations (decks), event statistics, info-graphics, and additional sales and partnership related design requests.
- Graphic designed support of Partnerships Department event collateral, including but not limited to signage, invitations, and informational materials.
- Design and development of creative assets for use in social media and digital media.
- Provide team and individual graphic design support to salespeople and partnership services team through customization and tailoring of sales tools and presentations to specification.
2 – Partnership programming
- Stay informed on company commercial practices, operational procedures, and event execution, for the purposes of understanding the mechanical and aesthetic details of integrating partners into our events and platforms.
- Source best practices and latest trends from sports sponsorship and activations, marketing, and broader sponsorship industry to support and lead the development of up to date, on-trend programming for current and prospective clients.
- When requested, support sales and partner services team in sales pitches and client meetings to perform discovery on prospective clients and assist with selling the programs that have been developed for that client.
3 – Management and regular maintenance of standardized team resources and contents
- Assist with managing and maintaining annual, monthly, and weekly updates to standard generic resources, like our Global Portfolio presentation (deck).
- Source and organize internal metrics for updating our presentations, and for our business development and partnership services teams to access as needed. This includes but is not limited to current event calendars, website data, email data, social media metrics, athlete demographic and psychographic data, and more.
- Assist with managing process for team access and utilization of tools and resources.
- Utilize departmental systems to manage work/request queue and delivery of completed projects.
Requirements
Necessary Job Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)
Preferred Experience
Experience with basic video editing.
Experience with Adobe After Effects
Experience using project management platforms, like Basecamp®, Planner, Air Table, or similar.
Travel
This is not a traveling position, but up to 10% travel may be required to experience our brand portfolio and develop interdepartmental relationships critical to the role.
