We are a pipe, valves, and fittings supplier to the maritime and industrial markets, looking for a Customer Service Rep to join our Inside Sales Team. Since 1970, World Wide Metric has continued to grow. With four regional offices across North America, we have progressively developed into a worldwide competitor.

Status: Full Time Position (Onsite)
Schedule: 8am–5:00pm Monday-Friday.
Overtime and weekend hours as needed.
Travel: Less than 10%

JOB PURPOSE
Perform the professional duties relating to sales, including order entry, preparing invoices for customers, and building relationships with customers. Identify and fulfill sales opportunities. This role is part of our inside sales team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY
· Provide sales quotes and offer information to customers (via phone, FAX and email); including price, quantity, shipping location and schedules, certifications, product uses, credit terms, etc.
· Research and select the correct products or assist customers in making product selections, based on customers' needs and product specifications. Offer additional and/or alternative products and or solutions to customer for purchase.
· Source products that are not available from inventory.
· Enter quotes and sales orders into Sales system.
· Follow-up on sales orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
· Send catalogs to current and prospective customers.
· Research and resolve discrepancies and problems for customers.
· Promote, cross sell, up sell our product suite to our clients
Product Knowledge
· Research product and decipher part numbers.
· Communicate technical information related to product.
· Continually develop and increase product knowledge.
Logistics
· Utilize inventory system to determine availability of product in multiple warehouses.
· Discuss shipping arrangements with customers and determine method based on customer’s needs and efficiencies.
· Coordinate shipping of orders with customers and multiple warehouses.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Education and Experience
· Associates degree in technical field, Bachelor’s degree (i.e. engineering, mathematics, sciences, or business) preferred but not required..
Experience
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in inside sales or call center environment.
-Experience with pipes, vales or fittings a plus.
