We have a new and exciting position available for a qualified Desktop Support Technician to join our client’s team for an onsite position in Boston, MA and be responsible for interacting and providing hardware upgrades, new technology, and phone support for our client. Critical skills include a focus on being helpful, relatable, and pleasant while deploying hardware or answering questions on new technology. The ideal candidate must be reliable and be available for hours between 7 : 00 AM and 5 : 00 PM.Duties and Responsibilities : Building and deploying Windows (Dell) computersConsulting with client to complete computer purchases using discretionary research fundingManaging hardware retrieval from client staff that are off-boardedDeploying and supporting Cisco VOiP TelephonesPublic Printing Support – Managing paper, toner, and device maintenance for public printers across client facilityHardware and Application / Tool Testing in partnership with Desktop EngineeringRemote OS upgrades and remotely assisted hardware configuration for client StaffDocumenting all activity and interactions in the ticketing system – ServiceNowHybrid Check-Ins and ability to answer connectivity / tool related questions while under pressureSkills and Qualifications : Minimum 2 to 5 years of related work experience in PC break-fix, an AA degree, or technical training / equivalent combination of education and experienceA Certification – or able to obtain within first 6 weeks of employmentCustomizes the customer experience for every individual—all communication, instructions, and product knowledge to the level of the individualTakes a consultative approach when solving issues and is relatable and responsible when interacting with any customer onsite or remoteHas the ability to work as both an individual contributor and as part of a teamEnthusiastic about technology and is willing to learn new platformsSolid experience and understanding of IT services and productsImaging / Support experience requiredExperience with Ivanti, Microsoft InTune, or JAMF a plusEncryption experience with Dell (DDPE) a plusO365 / Exchange and Active DirectoryExperience with Client printing and WebJet Admin a plusWe offer a comprehensive benefit package that you can elect into including but not limited to : Health Insurance (Medical, Vision, Dental), 401k, Basic Life / AD&D, Supplemental Insurances Plans, Paid Time Off Plan, Paid Holiday, Paid Sick Leave plan, FSA / HSA Pre-Tax Benefits, Employee Discounts.
