Job Summary

This position is a full lifecycle, high candidate quality recruiting opportunity in which you will use all of your skills to accomplish candidate attraction, screening, interviewing, selecting and onboarding our new employees! Recruiting Specialists will focus on adhering to company best practices, establishing some of their own based on location and driving recruiting metrics for their station with the recruiting team. It will require consistent collaboration with station Operational Leadership and other Recruiters while helping to identify key hiring needs, and implementing innovative sourcing strategies to meet them.

In this role, you will be instrumental in finding top-notch talent for our company with your dynamic outreach skills, candidate flow management, and the ability to establish relationships both with the station Recruiters you support as well as the candidates. In this role, you are the ultimate ambassador of our brand.

Responsibilities

Your main duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers and department heads to understand the roles you are filling, define job descriptions, and create recruitment strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Use the knowledge you gain to develop and execute timely strategies to passively source the right candidates using a combination of social media, job boards, outreach, professional relationships and referral networks
  • Proven experience recruiting through multiple social media platforms in addition to job boards
  • Act with urgency to manage job requisitions in the applicant tracking system promptly
  • Partner with HR Managers and field Recruiting teams to coordinate job fairs and/or hiring events for high-volume needs
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate the moving parts of the hiring process for a remarkable candidate experience. Able to provide a high touch for the candidate and not afraid to pick up the phone
  • Perform pre-employment verification and facilitate on-boarding as needed
  • Track and report key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire and source of hire, and use data to improve hiring processes. Know your numbers and where you are at with hiring needs!
  • Support and enhance the employer brand by creating positive candidate experiences and promoting the company’s values and culture.
  • Ensure recruitment practices adhere to all legal requirements and company policies.
  • As needed, set-up, support and run higher volume recruiting events
Minimum Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience recruiting for light industrial roles (warehouse, transportation, airline, logistics, call center or similar)
  • Be a critical thinker with initiative to find out of the box solutions. You don’t limit yourself with candidates that just come to you, you find others as well.
  • Proven experience sourcing and attracting high-caliber candidates through multiple social media platforms in addition to job boards
  • Proven strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with hiring managers at all levels.
  • Proven track record of reducing time-to-hire and enhancing candidate quality. Work with a sense of urgency
  • Overnight travel up to 50% during times of higher volume recruiting
Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • SAP Success Factors experience a plus
  • Ability to think critically and propose improvements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
  • Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
