About the Role :

Our client, a rapidly growing commercial solar construction firm based near San Jose, is looking for a skilled and motivated Solar Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the development, planning, and execution of solar energy projects across various commercial and industrial sectors.

As a Solar Project Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful design, construction, and operation of solar systems. Your technical expertise, along with your ability to manage complex project timelines and budgets, will be essential to delivering high-quality solar installations that meet or exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee the design, development, and execution of commercial solar energy projects from initial concept through to installation and final commissioning.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and timelines.
• Conduct site assessments and evaluations, providing accurate data on project feasibility and cost estimates.
• Review and interpret design documents and specifications to ensure project compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Assist with permitting and interconnection processes, working with local utilities and regulatory agencies.
• Provide technical support during the installation process, troubleshooting and resolving any engineering issues that arise.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, and resources effectively, ensuring all milestones are achieved within scope and budget.
• Ensure the effective documentation of all project activities, including engineering reports, change orders, and progress reports.
• Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all safety standards and procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
