Department Operations
* Ensure compliance with department guidelines and company procedures.
* Identify and forward department issues to management.
* Support department sub-groups and resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and client issues.
* Review and forward expense claims.
Department Communications
* Plan and execute department meetings.
* Identify and forward risk/liability concerns.
* Prepare and present project subject matter as needed.
* Present solutions to mitigate exposure.
Health, Safety, and Environmental
* Support and ensure the use of Worley LIFE & HSE programs.
* Promote concern for HSE issues.
Business Development Support
* Maintain and encourage up-to-date career information on resumes.
* Support business development proposals by leading the CTR development for the discipline.
* Maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and agencies.
New Employee Orientation
* Identify required skills and competencies.
* Support orientation activities and create positive first impressions.
* Establish developmental mentors as appropriate.
Employee Allocation Program
* Determine staffing levels and skill set requirements.
* Authorize timesheet submissions and approve vacation requests.
* Ensure vacation coverage and support reallocation and absence activities.
Employee Development Program
* Mentor and train department employees.
* Facilitate external and internal training programs.
Employee Performance Management Program
* Forward achievements and performance issues to management.
* Participate in performance reviews and recognition activities.
Employee Departures
* Assist in identifying employment issues and systemic concerns.
* Facilitate planned and unplanned departures.
Technical Competency Assurance Program
* Ensure compliance with Worley Engineering Practices and regulatory standards.
* Support standardization of calculations, reports, and equipment specifications.
* Encourage use of intranet-based technical resources (Worley Way).
Quality Assurance/Quality Control Program
* Ensure compliance with QA/QC guidelines.
* Participate in technical audits and support CAD and technical deliverable checking.
Project Scope/Cost/Time Management
* Establish and maintain project scope, cost, and time requirements.
* Advise on issues affecting project completion and profitability.
* Maintain records of client preferences and obtain approval of deliverables.
Project Quality Management
* Monitor and recommend quality improvements.
* Facilitate meeting quality management expectations.
Project Risk Management
* Participate in risk assessment and manage ongoing risks for the discipline.
Project Communication Management
* Execute inter-discipline reviews and handle document distribution and filing.
* Review and approve external discipline communication.
Project Delivery: Global Integrated Delivery
* Facilitate and drive, as appropriate, the delivery of scope leveraging Worley HVEC (High Value Engineering Centers - India, Columbia).
* Drive / develop discipline team skill set that enables effective (competitive, high quality, efficient) delivery of scope through workshare.
* BS or MS in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience if allowed by law.
* 10 years' experience in the offshore oil and gas industry.
* Strong familiarity with offshore industry standards the influence structural aspects (ex. API RP 2A).
* Supervisory and/or lead experience required.
* Relevant professional registration required.
* Supervises work and performance directly and through discipline leads.
* Experience with workshare delivery model is preferred.
* Proficient with engineering software applications (ex. SACS for offshore structure analysis).
* Computer proficiency required.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Accuracy and attention to detail important.
* Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
* Ability to prepare, present, and/or supervise the development of complex program proposals and reports to senior-level management and customers.
* Responsible for establishing project estimates and oversight of project budgets.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Ability to effectively communicate in English and take a leadership role.
* Commitment to customer service and ability to assist others in solving functional problems.
* Ability to maintain confidential information critically.
* Generally characterized as a "Senior Supervising Leader" with the ability to supervise more diverse or complex functions.
* Ability to direct work through others.
* Provides oversight, expertise, and guidance to less experienced individuals.
* Regularly interfaces with departmental staff, upper management, and outside customers.
