This is a remote / rotational position, working two weeks on and two weeks off or three weeks on and three weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.
Job Purpose :
While performing the duties of an Electrical Journeyman, under the supervision of the Fire & Gas Integrity Foreman, the Electrical Technician Level 4 provides day-to-day task and performance direction to the work crew.
Essential Job Functions :
- Maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation and construction of industrial electrical equipment and systems through the proper use of standard wire, conduit, fittings and hardware commonly found in petrochemical facilities.
- Bend, cut, thread and install conduit.
- Install and terminate wiring.
- Check and troubleshoot electric circuits, electrical devices and machinery.
- Use and care of tools and equipment such as hydraulic / electric bender, knock-out punch set, cable puller, megger, high-pot equipment, volt meters, multi-tester and ammeters.
- Test, troubleshoot, set and calibrate power distribution systems working with protective relaying and motor control circuits.
- Routinely perform safety and productivity observations as well as shop, field and vehicle inspections.
- Attend various technical, developmental and safety training.
- Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate support for the company's environmental management system.
- Serve as on-site single point of contact for work crew.
- Supervise and / or direct other craftsmen.
- Provide coaching, mentoring and performance feedback to crew members.
- Ensure all team members understand and follow procedures and assess skill level of team members; assist in skill development.
- Examine work and materials for compliance with specifications.
- Accountable for safe work practices.
- May be responsible for recording and reporting daily labor hours to timekeeper.

Physical Demands / Work Environment :
Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions.
