What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transformation Intern position at Worthington Steel?
Worthington Industries is looking for a Transformation intern to participate in the Summer Internship program in Columbus, OH. The Summer Internship Program is designed to help our interns develop professional skills through on-the-job experience. During the summer, interns will spend part of their time completing a business-driven project. These assignments could range from generating ideas for product improvement, to creating new processes, to developing a standardized playbook for a specific role within the Company.
The interns will spend the remainder of their time receiving additional on-the-job experience and classroom learning. Classes will feature topics including: DE&I, transformational mindset, resume writing, interviewing tips and presenting with confidence. In keeping with Our Philosophy, the program will also feature a community service component.
Responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate meetings and participate in high impact workshops and Kaizen events
- Exposed to our Lean process and involved in Lean events
- Communicate with hourly workforce and management team
- Multi-task to simultaneously support multiple project leads
- Assisting with management or creation of technical documentation for maintenance and engineering
- Report out on contributions at the end of the summer
