Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of real estate research and the collections process, including foreclosures. The Paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys with preparation of collections notices, claims of lien, notices related to foreclosures, and client communication.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such the register of deeds, tax sites, and Pacer.
- Draft and review legal documents, including claims of lien and foreclosure documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
- Manage case files using Clio, maintaining organized records for easy retrieval.
- Provide executive administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling hearings, and preparing hearing materials.
- Collaborate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or legal department is preferred.
- Familiarity with Clio or similar legal practice management software is advantageous.
- Strong skills in legal drafting and document review are essential for success in this position.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective client interaction and collaboration within the team.
