Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team in the Life Science industry. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, supporting financial reporting, and working cross-functionally with other departments to facilitate the company’s growth and financial integrity. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Life Science or healthcare sectors and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions to ensure proper recording and reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and external regulations (GAAP).
- Support preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating with department heads.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management, investors, and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and improve accounting processes and controls to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, legal, R&D) to ensure proper accounting of product development and clinical trial expenses.
- Provide training and mentoring to junior accounting staff.
- Assist in managing financial software systems and related tools.
- Stay current on regulatory changes in the Life Science / healthcare industry and implement necessary updates to accounting processes.
