Partners Personnel is seeking an experienced dispatcher for our premier packaging and service provider. As the pre-eminent, value-added bottle and packaging supplier of rigid packaging solutions in the United States and Canada, we help our customers turn their passion into a marketplace success.
POSITION
The Dispatch Assistant is an non-exempt role responsible for maintaining loads in the Transportation Management System (TMS), daily reporting on total orders, working with the operations team, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to ensure all deliveries are met to customer satisfaction. Each assistant will support one of main regions we service – supporting maintenance of the each load so it can be tendered by our Dispatch Coordinators. This position requires the employee can make informed decisions on prioritization of multiple urgent request without seeking higher approval - particularly in addressing internal request in our CRM queue.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to any of these functions and responsibilities as required):
1) Maintain Loads (50%)
- Update critical information in our system such as pallet counts, weight, and transportation mode so that our Dispatchers can tender the load
2) Manage CRM Queues (45%)
- Mange the CRM queue where requests are submitted internally for freight quote requests, proof of delivery requests, Change order Requests, and Exception order requests.
- Requires understanding of the requests and ability to prioritize.
- Must communicate any major disruptive requests or changes to the Dispatch Coordinators.
3) Customer service issues (5%)
- Work with Customer Service to ensure the perfect order is entered and able to be executed upon by transportation and operations.
- Trouble shoots issues necessary to meet customer needs.
4) Hours: The position is full-time work Monday – Friday. Shifts will be assigned 6:00 – 2:30 pm and 7:00 – 3:30. 8-4:30 pm, but hours may vary based on business needs. Hours are subject to change at employers discretion.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in a truck dispatch role preferred.
- High School degree required, some college preferred.
- High sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Is PC-proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- English Fluency, English and Spanish preferred
