Responsibilities
- Must be able to work closely with staff from all departments.
- Must know how to read and understand Explanation of Benefits (Reviewing and interpreting documentation.)
- Must be detail orientated
- Must have basic mathematical ability
- Ability to handle workload of posting responsibilities, recoups, answering phone calls from patients, insurance, attorneys, and any additional project that you could be responsible for.
- Must be able to meet monthly duties and deadlines
Qualifications
- Excellent work ethic to include adherence to schedule and general attendance.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and reliable decision-making.
- EMR experience (e-Clinical preferred)
- Knowledge of different payers and policies e.g., Medicare, HMO, PPO, Medicare Advantage Plans etc.
- Knowledge of medical practice revenue cycle processes.
- Patient service communication experience (preferred)
Experience
- Medical Billing: 1-5 years preferred
