Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Controller/CFO with a proven track record to oversee financial operations, manage a team, and collaborate with other managers in a rapidly evolving business. This role requires 10 years of experience in a similar position (preferably as an automotive or dealership controller), exceptional stress management, and the flexibility to adapt to our fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and inventory reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections to support growth initiatives.
- Supervise and lead a team of five accounting staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and workload prioritization.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and other managers to align financial strategies with company goals.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure audit readiness.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities and revenue-enhancing strategies.
- Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and insurance policies.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and tight deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership to guide decision-making and expansion plans.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Controller or CFO, ideally in an automotive dealership or similar fast-paced industry.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage high-stress situations effectively.
- Willingness to work 60 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team (minimum 5 people).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with other managers.
- Must reside in Cochran, Georgia, or within a 1-hour commute (relocation required if outside this radius).
- Excellent references from previous employers.
