How Your Role Fits In
As a HVAC/Maintenance Technician, you will perform routine and extensive preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, along with a variety of skilled duties in one or more of the building trades. Your role is critical in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently, directly impacting the quality and safety of our products.
What you’ll do:
- Perform Preventative Maintenance: Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance/cleaning tasks on existing HVAC units, condensing units, rack systems, and evaporators (EVAPS), ensuring long-term functionality and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose and repair complex system problems, utilizing your technical expertise to quickly resolve issues and minimize downtime
- Service Advanced Systems: Service electronic control systems, variable frequency drives, fractional horsepower units, and HVAC package units
- Maintain Service Logs: Accurately document all service activities, ensuring complete and reliable maintenance records
- Manage Inventory: Keep an organized inventory of HVAC repair materials, ensuring that essential parts are always on hand
- Emergency Readiness: Respond to after-hours emergency situations, resolving safety and product concerns with urgency and precision
What it takes to succeed:
- Knowledgeable in regulations, such as: Refrigerant types and transporting.
- Willing to travel as needed: Standard travel throughout the state is required daily. Some overnight stays will be required.
- Education: Technical knowledge of refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning & research (HVAC&R) controls, test equipment, materials, tools, maintenance and energy.
- Experience: 1 year of relevant building maintenance. Must be EPA Universal (Class 1 and Class 2) Certified, or willing to get certified.
