Desktop Support Engineer
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Experienced End-user & IT Support Engineer, located in South Bend, Indiana and will be the point of contact for technically supporting desktop computers (windows), mobile (apple/android), printers, and wireless/LAN network items. Other tasks include issue validation, initial troubleshooting and helping timely resolution of problems. This role will need excellent written and verbal English language communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to desktop computers and printers (e.g Windows10/11 OS)
- Experience with Lenovo hardware and WinOS system configurations, installation, and maintenance and ability to troubleshoot efficiently.
- Good familiarity, and working knowledge of wireless networks, switching, routing. Being able to help and users with their problems as they arise.
- Ability to work with end-users and provide technical support for various operating systems and software applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have a logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Being able to ask the right questions and triage requests accordingly so that requests are escalated to the appropriate senior groups to be resolved promptly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience in IT consulting or managed services is a plus
- Certifications in relevant technologies such as below are favorable but not a requirement.
- Meraki Cloud
- Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician
- CompTIA Network
- Cisco Certified Network Associate is a plus
- Wireless networking experience is a plus.
