What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager/Estimator position at WRB Construction?
Position Overview: The Project Estimator will play a critical role in our project planning and execution phases, focusing on creating accurate and competitive project estimates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multifamily construction estimating, with a particular focus on siding repair, structural restoration, and water damage remediation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth consultations with potential clients, leveraging established sales techniques to advise and sell the most suitable solution.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and prepare estimates for various projects, including roofing replacement, siding replacement, painting, deck and traffic coatings, and structural restoration.
- Collaborate with the project team to gather all necessary information for bidding, including specifications, drawings, and historical data.
- Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and negotiate pricing.
- Manage documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
- Support project managers and liaisons in project planning and client consultations.
- Ensure estimates are complete, accurate, and aligned with the company's strategic goals and within budget.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must have knowledge of the Portland Metro area
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on multi-family and commercial projects.
- Experience preparing and organizing submittals for construction consultants
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market trends.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other industry partners
- Ability to continually foster client satisfaction, encourage repeat business, and take necessary actions to enhance the company's reputation and success.
- Ability to be proactive and resourceful when issues arise
- Proficiency in both Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Construction Management degree or 4 years of estimating or project managing experience
Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
