What are the responsibilities and job description for the Older Toddler Assistant Teacher position at Wright Childcare Solutions/ The Learning Loft?
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Toddler Teacher. The ideal candidate will have experience working with older toddlers, enjoy fostering children's growth and learning, and be committed to creating a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment. Experience in an early childhood setting is preferred.
Work Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM (during operating hours)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans based on state guidelines and the individual needs of each child
- Collaborate with other teachers to monitor and support the developmental progress of each child
- Establish and maintain a classroom routine that supports and promotes children's growth and development
- Provide direct care and instruction to children, encouraging their learning through activities and play
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and any changes to the daily schedule
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required (degree preferred)
- CDA (Child Development Associate) preferred
- Previous experience in daycare or early childhood education preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Compassionate attitude with a deep understanding of child development
- Nurturing and patient teaching approach
- Dependable and team-oriented
