What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at Wright Steel & Service?
Wright Steel & Service has been a family-owned steel distributor business in the Evansville area for many years. We are currently seeking a full-time Inside Sales person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking sales order on product and services over the phone or in person, maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales goals. This position may also drive a straight truck on occasion. Class C / For Hire drivers license is required.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift
Responsibilities:
- Take incoming orders from customers on a variety of steel products
- Make recommendations and/or up sale when necessary
- Ability to provide excellent and professional customer service
- Ensure correct pricing on products and services
- Ensure customer’s orders are accurate and shipped on time and to correct location
- If order from 3rd party, ensure the best possible pricing
- May have to work in warehouse occasionally
- May have to drive truck to customers. Class C / For hire drivers license required
- If customer arrives on site in inquire about product, escort them to warehouse to display the variety of products for accurate order
- Other duties as assigned
Education / Experience:
- High School or equivalent.
- 3 years experience in inside sales. Experience in steel industry a definite plus
- Class C /For Hire drivers license required
- Familiarity with steel product/industry highly desired
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Basic math skills
- Must have excellent customer service and follow-up skills
- Must have above average computer skills
