Position Summary:
WTC has various tasks at our distribution center. The warehouse associate will learn all aspects and functions of receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the establishment by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to the packing station or shipping department.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Transports materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or designated locations.
- Arrange stock parts in the specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
- Use a computer or scan gun to enter records.
- Drives a forklift to transport stored items between warehouses.
- Prepares parcels for mailing.
- Assists in maintaining inventory records.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of two years’ previous experience in a distribution setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is preferred.
- Previous scan gun experience is required
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 is preferred
- Previous experience with an ERP System is preferred
- Previous experience with WMS Systems is preferred
- Previous knowledge of FedEx and/or UPS shipping is preferred
- Forklift certification is preferred
- Hazmat/dangerous good certification is preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
- Use hands and fingers on a regular basis.
- Ability to talk and hear.
- Ability for eyes to quickly adjust and focus.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
