What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Wright Traffic Control?
Wright Traffic Control is signatory to local Labor Unions. The WTC Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring traffic control services supplied to our clients are reliable, well trained, and provide a safe environment for their team to complete their work. WTC Operations Manager is a salary position and reports to the Area Manager and/or Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manages a team of Field Supervisors, verifying the proper handling of issues in the field and that company procedures are followed
- Oversee the scheduling to confirm proper coverage * Generate and complete reports as required
- Meet with clients and address any issues or concerns
- Follow all safety and health rules as it pertains to traffic control
- Build strong customer relationships by meeting with foreman
- Oversee all purchases for the office and in the field
- Ability to respond before and after business hours as needed
- Coordinate, manage and monitor various departments
- Maintain a positive, high morale environment and foster teamwork.
- Maintain proper inventory for smooth operations in the field
- Maintain and account for company vehicles and equipment
- Ability to be proactive, well organized and manager multiple projects
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Advanced computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work closely with senior management
- Experience in managing time and a team of employees
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have a valid driver license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
- Must produce and maintain a negative drug test result
- College degree preferred, will consider a mix of education, prior experience in lieu of college degree.
Certifications: * Complete the ATSSA certification and additional training such as TCT, TCS and Defensive Driving classes as instructed
