Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, including phone calls and data entry.
- Review and update patient records, including documentation and medical coding.
- Maintain a clean and organized medical office, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and phone calls with excellent phone etiquette.
- Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and filing.
- Use medical office management systems to manage patient records, appointments, and billing.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a medical office assistant or in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience with clerical duties, including data entry and filing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as needed.
Skills:
- Patient service with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in reviewing and updating medical records.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills.
