Job Description
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing office furniture projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong understanding of project management principles and the office furniture industry.
Responsibilities and Duties
·1. Project Planning:
- Collaborate with clients, sales teams, and designers to understand project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
2. Coordination and Execution:
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial design to final installation.
- Coordinate with internal teams (design, manufacturing, logistics) and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure deadlines are met.
3. Client Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project.
- Provide regular updates on project status, address client concerns, and manage expectations.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality results that meet or exceed expectations.
4. Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and projects remain profitable.
- Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Approve project-related expenses and invoices.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all deliverables meet company standards and client specifications.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with design plans.
- Address any issues or defects promptly.
6. Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the tools and information needed to succeed.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills / Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the office furniture or interior design industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of project management tools and software (e.g., Fieldwire)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Located in South Florida.
