Commercial Laundry Production Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail oriented Commercial Laundry Supervisor to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring daily operations of all hotel linen laundry items are cleaned, pressed, and presented to our established standards of quality.

The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial laundry, employee scheduling and supervision, computer experience and prior management or supervisory experience in a large commercial laundry facility.

Duties

• Operate washing machines, dryers efficiently to clean linens, towels, and other laundry items.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to established procedures.
• Inspect all items for stains or damage before processing
• Plan, assign, and oversee the work of others.
• Communicates with plant supervisor regarding equipment issues and / or service issues. Includes monitoring equipment and safety issues.
• Flexible and efficient time management with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Monitors production efforts to ensure customer satisfaction with quality and timeliness.
• Maintain established quality standards and expectations.
• Adhere to safety guidelines while handling chemicals and operating equipment.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laundry or large housekeeping role is preferred.
• Knowledge of laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes, is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work independently as well as lead a team.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy loads of laundry as needed, roughly 50 lbs.
• Bilingual Preferred
• Computer experience, we utilize automated programs that require use of a computer.
• Must have reliable transportation, the plant begins operations at 5:30 AM.

Working Environment

Stand walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed
