The Business Performance and Analysis Director will lead and supports matters related to consolidated business planning & analysis, and business unit support. This includes delivery of the annual financial plan, consolidated monthly and quarterly financial reporting, business unit profitability reporting and decision support analysis. The incumbent will collaborate with colleagues in BP&A and functional divisions in understanding and communicating corporate and business performance, opportunities, and risks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and lead financial modeling for various forecasting including annual planning, rolling forecasting, short term outlook updates, and long-term strategic planning and decisioning.
- Design business driver schedules with business unit personnel to aid in planning and analysis of business unit performance in order to gain deeper understanding of business unit profitability.
- Production/consolidation of monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages including P&L and Balance Sheet driver-based variance analysis.
- Develop business driver schedules with business unit personnel to aid in planning and analysis of business unit performance in order to gain deeper understanding of business unit profitability.
- Facilitate performance reviews with business units to capture and track risks & opportunities.
- Provide support for the business units’ inputs into the annual financial plan.
- Communicate and explain financial results.
- Actively interpret and review key drivers of performance.
- Develop new methods to capture and report key financial data.
- Assist in collection of relevant peer data in order to aid production of quarterly peer analysis.
- Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts and managers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; MBA/CPA/CFA a plus but not required
- A minimum of 10 years Financial Performance & Analysis experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience, financial services preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business modeling tools.
- Proficient in Oracle GL and Oracle Smartview (Essbase/Hyperion) with prior experience working with multi-dimensional databases.
- Must have strong technical, analytical, financial modeling and presentation skills.
- Must have working knowledge of funds transfer pricing (FTP) and allocations.
- Must thrive in dynamic, energetic and driven environments.
- Must have the ability to present complex financial information in simple terms
- Must have experience in collaborating to set up new processes, with strong analytic capability.
- Must have a working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Must have the ability to work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines.
