We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our dynamic team at WSG & Solutions, a leading engineering company specializing in screening and grit conveying equipment for municipal and industrial water and wastewater applications. The Engineering Project Manager will play a key role in managing and executing multiple engineering projects ensuring a quality delivery and on time completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, proven experience in project management, ability to work in a team environment and excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate all aspects of a project through regular communication with Customer, Management, Purchasing, Quality, Accounting, Production and Field Service departments to ensure the project is running as planned.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct project kick-off and regular project review meetings with all departments to communicate project scope, work plan and deliverables
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines
- Mechanical / Structural engineering including; design calculations, selection of components, and equipment configuration design
- Create project and fabrication drawings while working with Drafting department as needed
- Generate and manage approval of technical submittals in compliance with contract plans and specifications, process and negotiate contract changes
- Generate Equipment O&M Manuals
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules/deliverables, maintain project team on critical path, vendor supplied items tracked
- Continuously assess project risk & opportunities and drive action to mitigate and capitalize
- Generate and manage reports, including projected cost reports, variance to budget reports and open issues lists
- Communicate the project status to Management on a regular basis using established reporting methods.
- Communicate milestone invoicing to Accounting
- Support revenue and GM financial forecasts
- Ensure all project documentation is organized in project folders and secure for all aspects of the project, including contributions from other departments.
- Drive project close out & lesson learned meetings
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s standard operating procedures, tools and reference/standard design libraries
- Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities and make recommendations for all aspects of project execution.
- Enforce quality control measures to ensure all equipment meets project requirements and industry standards.
- Support Estimating: engineer and estimate equipment and parts quotes
- Analyzes equipment to identify modifications to improve efficiency and quality while reducing cost
- Ensure compliance with guidelines, best practices, and policies
- Expected to travel as needed for product inspections at various manufacturing facilities, perform limited sales and marketing activities and customer site visits
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
- 3-5 years of related experience preferred

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Successful track record of meeting / beating project budgets, on time delivery and customer expectations.

- Proficient with AutoCAD, Inventor, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project, Global Shop Solutions experience beneficial
