We are hiring for a Second Shift (Friday-Tuesday-4:00 PM-12:30 AM) Warehouse Associate to help us in our warehouse. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, labeling, and storing incoming shipments, picking products from locations, packing outbound orders, and loading shipments. A successful Warehouse Associate is hard-working, organized and detail-oriented. You should be reliable, dependable, have a good work ethic, and be self-motivated and a team player.
DUTIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Receive products from carriers, off-loading trucks, coordinating devanning of containers
- Measure and quantify products coming into the warehouse
- Follow a picklist to pull products from locations
- Use a computer to navigate our warehouse management system via web browser
- Use barcode scanner to verify accurate product and quantity of product shipped
- Assemble boxes, fill with product, seal, and apply shipping labels.
- Properly label and tag warehouse inventory
- Replenish inventory stock, as required
- Load and unload product within designated time frames
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Work in accordance with all safety regulations of the warehouse
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Reliable transportation to report to scheduled shift and travel between facilities, as needed
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills to ensure accurate counts and paperwork
- Ability to operate technology equipment including Radio Frequency (RF) Scanners to manage inventory
- Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and follow through on assigned tasks and responsibilities
- Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and written
PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in warehouse environment
- Some experience operating fork lift truck, order picker, or EPJ preferred, but not necessary
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES and REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time through hot and cold temperatures
- Must be willing and able to safely lift up to 30 pounds, and slide, push or pull cases weighing up to 50 lbs
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are provided by the company
- Must be able to safely bend, stoop, and reach.
- An ability to perform repetitive motions like scanning, building and packing boxes, or loading product onto a pallet.
- Must be able to use hands to handle, control, or move small objects.
