What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director- Human Resources position at WSI Supply Chain Solutions?
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team to lead our human resources functions of total rewards, employee relations, and policy development to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. This full-time salaried position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Create and execute human resources strategies, policies, and processes that are aligned to business strategy.
Lead and coach a team of human resources professionals to ensure efficient operations and service delivery.
Accountable for employee total reward programs; including compensation, health, retirement, and wellness.
Oversee employee relations, guide conflict resolution, and own performance management policies.
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee engagement and development.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations across all human resources functions.
Create, analyze, and hold team members accountable to metrics for improved decision-making and planning.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, benefits administration, and human resources best practices.
People-orientated, excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire others, also to build and maintain effective relationships with employees and leaders.
Proficient in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), other related software tools, and data analysis.
Results driven, with an ability to achieve human resources excellence.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced education ideal.
Proven experience as a successful leader in human resources or similar role in a corporate setting.
SHRM certification is ideal.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS :
Position is not remote, must be based out of the Appleton, Wisconsin office.
Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk, typing on a computer, and talking on the phone.
Travel requirement is about 15% of the time to company locations via car and an airplane, more travel in year one.
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow dress code guided by the company.
