Come join us and help shape the future!WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Transit & Rail Project Manager, ZEB / BRT for the Chicago, IL office.Your ImpactAct as a technical expert on bus facility design or rehabilitation including zero emission and green technology upgrades for projects at all phases, from concept to construction.Provide Project Management on medium to large-size projects with an opportunity to grow, including contract negotiation and managing scope, schedule, and budget.Support larger projects as a Program Manager, Project Manager, Task Manager, or Project Architect.Aid local offices pursuing or delivering bus facility projects nationally with technical expertise, including opportunities to travel.Demonstrate your skills to the industry through conference presentations and paper publication.Assist in growing the business by building relationships, writing marketing proposals, and providing other business development support.Management of technical staff.Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.Who You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or equivalent.12 plus years of experience in bus maintenance facility design, transit stations / hubs, transit projects, or equivalent.PE, PMP or RAExperience working with Chicago Transit Authority, Metra, or Pace.Experience with public meetings and knowledge of City neighborhoods, community groups, and elected leadership.Demonstrated organizational and communications skills.Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug / alcohol and harassment policies.Preferred QualificationsDirect experience with bus facility design and rehabilitationExperience with BRT is a plusLive in Chicago or metropolitan areaExperience with FTA Bus and Bus Facility Grant processes.Strong experience in managing the review and approval of documents and discipline-specific deliverables, certifications, processes, and plans in a multi-project environment is highly desirable.WSP Benefits : WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
