Position Summary Information
General Summary
The Student Intern - Process Control Engineering will assist in the documentation, design and templates for the industrial control system.
Essential Functions
- Reviews processes and documents as P&IDs.
- Prepare programable logic controller drawings (including templates) within AutoCAD (2D).
- Optimize various plant processes : Filter Chlorine and Chemical Feedback control.
- Assists engineers with data preparation and analysis for projects, inspections, and condition assessments.
- Reviews plans of projects for functional design and conformance to Commission standards.
- Uses Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to enter, extract, analyze, or report on data.
Other Functions
Assists with process control water and wastewater projects.

Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
Completion of at least one (1) year of college coursework
Additional Requirements
Must have a dependable transportation to travel between WSSC Water facilities.
Preferences
Interest in water treatment, engineering and project related work
Experience with AutoCAD
Salary
Commensurate with education and experience
