Account Payable Clerk

Job Description

Job Summary:

Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Process vendor invoices and verify for accuracy, appropriate documentation, and compliance with company policies.
• Review and reconcile monthly vendor statements to ensure all outstanding invoices are accounted for.
• Assist with the preparation and processing of payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as needed.
  
  

**Qualifications: **

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks and especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  
  

**Physical Requirements: **

• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as data entry.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
