Principal Duties/Responsibilities
- Director of Willis Towers Watson Management (Guernsey) Limited.
- Team leader overseeing the operation and functions of the team.
- Overall responsibility for the management of a portfolio of insurance and finance companies.
- Maintaining an on-going relationship with assigned clients and gaining an understanding of the clients’ business and industry.
- Relationship management with the owner/parent company, insurance regulator, directors, auditors, actuaries, bankers, tax advisers etc.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of all company secretarial and corporate governance requirements.
- Overall responsibility for the production of financial and management information.
- Providing mentorship and leadership to junior colleagues.
- Providing operational and strategic input as part of the office senior management team.
- Adherence to the WTW core values of Client Focus, Teamwork, Respect, Integrity and Excellence.
Specific activities:
- Management of the client service teams you will have responsibility for in order to deliver the WTW service offering.
- Monitoring and ensuring that each company complies with Guernsey Law and regulations.
- Preparation/review of Management Accounts, and any other ad hoc reports and budgets, forecasts etc. in a format prescribed by our clients.
- Preparation/review and timely filing of all regulatory and statistical reporting requirements.
- Preparation/review of client companies’ year-end financial statements and liaising with external auditors.
- Oversight of cash management and reconciliation in accordance with instructions provided by the Board, including liaison with the company’s banks and investment managers and the production of appropriate reports.
- Overall responsibility for organising and attendance of client board meetings and AGM’s including presentation of material.
- Client entertainment as part of regular Board visits, as required.
- Assist in new business opportunities as they arise.
Qualifications
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA; CAT/AAT etc.) or Professional Insurance Qualification (FCII \ ACII) or equivalent Professional Qualification.
- Experience of Guernsey Regulatory environment
- Experience of (re)insurance accounting preparation
- Knowledge of captive insurance industry
