Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Manage direct reports via alignment talk process to ensure both individual employee and regional growth targets are achieved utilizing action plans and a management system, centered on a project management approach from design-in to order fulfillment, that empowers individualized responsibility and potential for success.
- Understand and analyze data from systems and reports on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis to evaluate territory, team, product, customer and sales performance; making necessary adjustments in approach and/or employee behavior.
- Align and collaborate with other internal department managers to ensure the company is passionately and consistently delivering the most convenient customer experience.
- In coordination with regional leadership, provide insights into market trends and market share, define short and long-term Regional Sales department mission, milestones and strategy and develop and allocate annual sales plans to individual regions.
- Build a management level network with top customers and international colleagues
- Conduct annual appraisals, negotiate salaries and evaluate performance of employees while providing coaching opportunities for personal and professional development
Manage and lead change processes, mitigate conflict and facilitate a positive working environment within the department that enhances both the customer and employee experience. - Review staffing requirements per market needs and regional sales recruitment process with approval of Vice President.
- Approve changes to customer assignments and sales plan re-distribution as part of sales area alignment, splitting or consolidation for annual planning or mid-year multiplication.
- Organize semi-annual Regional Sales department meetings and quarterly Regional Sales management meetings.
- Adhere to company handbook, rules and procedures and enforce them with employees.
- Manage additional projects and responsibilities, as determined by the Vice President.
- Complete leadership, product and systems training as required.
