ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Full Cycle AP duties (from master data maintenance through to payment and reconciliation)
- Accounts receivable Cash application
- General ledger account reconciliation
- Verify accuracy and put vendor account number on all invoices.
- Prepare, enter and maintain filing of Accounts Payable.
- EDI invoice processing
- Perform timely account reconciliation by verifying entries and comparing to balances.
- Issue stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
- Record, code, and process all invoices for payment.
- Compare computerized purchase orders to invoices to insure proper billing on all items ordered, checking for discount terms, freight terms and account number coding.
- Prepare and input all trade and non-trade (including freight) payable invoices for payment.
- Process weekly check runs.
- Match checks to invoices which are payable.
- Maintain all accounts payable vendor files.
- Maintain written correspondence/invoice approval forms, which have been sent to vendors or other departments.
- Maintain daily A/P log and balance to the output report after any A/P invoices have been entered.
- Research all vendor credits or problems and resolve as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Three - Five years related experience required (Full Cycle Accounts Payable) and Accts Receivable. Industry experience preferred. Knowledge in an ERP environment such as SAP or Oracle. EDI Processing, MS Office (Excel, Word), Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This work requires the following physical activities: climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 10 lbs. of material, finger dexterity for activities such as data entry and calculator use, grasping, repetitive motions, speaking, hearing, visual acuity, and mobility between locations. Use of both hands is required.
